Trooping the Colour is a long celebrated official birthday of the queen. Yes, the royalty gets it twice to celebrate it every year. Although the queen was born in the month of April, the sovereign has the official celebration on the 11th of June 2011 this year. This grand celebration is celebrated with enthusiasm and love for the enduring monarchy and historical aristocracy of London.
Trouping the Colour:
This day is seeped deep in the culture of the country. It is celebrated in the St James Park, with an array of colours. I this celebration, the queen personally inspects the troops and the flag, which is battalion flag is carried in a descending order of the troop’s ranks. It is the tradition of the day. The tradition also says that the monarch takes the salute of the troops through the ceremony, in person. But this was not practiced after King Edward VII's reign.
As the ceremony winds up in its last quarter, the queen takes the troops through the mall street to the Buckingham Palace.
