London’s Hayward Gallery divulges a foremost fresh exhibition rejoicing fifty years of work by Ed Ruscha, one of the most leading artists in the world at work at present. The painter, born in Los Angeles in 1937, is renowned for his witty, experimental and amusing work in a selection of media. However, this presentation throws light on his donation to paintings’ influence. In fact, it is the largest-ever UK survey of the art by Ruscha.
Highlights of Ed Ruscha: 50 Years of Painting
The show marks a display of 78 mind blowing paintings, including Pop Art of Ruscha from the 1960s, discoveries of legendary American landscapes and emblems, and paintings displaying phrases and words. Canvases that have never been displayed in the United Kingdom before can be seen along with the works lent by private and public collections from across the world.

About Ed Ruscha’s Work
Ed Ruscha initiated several inventive techniques and researched with everything from filmic devices and graphic design to unique formats and materials. A major part of the work by Ruscha portrays American culture and draws attention of the crowd, for example, suburban landscapes, Hollywood logos, and petrol stations. Ruscha has left an impact on many people throughout his career, including artists Anselm Kiefer and Richard Prince, photographers Jeff Wall and Andreas Gursky and architect Robert Venturi. The Southbank gallery is set to deliver an energetic comeback with an exclusive summer show committed to Ernesto Neto, a chief light of the contemporary art scene of Brazil.
